PROPERTY DETAILS The luxury home sits on the ruins of a century old typical Alicante farmhouse, 1500m2 built over 4 levels. Starting with the first floor we have an entrance hall, a dining room, kitchen and a guest bathroom. The second floor, ideal for guests, has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The estate is located in the heart of the Alicante mountains with spectacular landscapes and more then 2700 hours of sun a year. Mainly dedicated to the production of cherry, balanced out by mix of Mediterranean pine and oak forests. This incredible natural environment makes it suitable for hunting with 400 hectares dedicated to the hunting of small game partridge, dove and hare and the hunting of larger game wild boar, mouflon and deer.

Regarding the main product of cherry, first quality production is obtained thanks to the exploitation of 15000 trees, 10000 of them over 6 years old and the rest over 3 and a half years old. A very lucrative operation thanks to the annual purchase by El Corte Inglés who market the cherry in their national high-end department stores. The average production of cherry varies between 12-15 kg per tree at 3 years of age and 28-30kg at 8 years of age. All trees have drip irrigation through a fully automated water system throughout the estate, adapted for ozone water treatment machine improving production while reducing costs of fungicide treatments. The estate also has two wells with a supply rate of 15L/second each, emptying into to two reservoirs with a modern pumping system to supply the irrigation network and automatically return any excess water. The water flowing on the estate has been analysed by the best laboratories in Spain confirming the excellent quality of water perfect for bottling and marketing for human consumption. The estate also has the optimal machinery to constantly carry out this operation consisting of three fully equipped tractors, mowers and sprayers all maintained by specialized staff in a workshop on the estate.

The estate also has a 800m2 warehouse including offices, shower room and a cold room to store cherries all for the purpose of producing, grading, packaging and storing for the sale of the cherries. Additionally the estate also produces its own electricity through solar panels and a wind turbine.

Finally, the estate has additional potential business investments requiring little capital. The estate can be converted into a luxury rural hotel following a Relais & Châteaux style, the future value of cherry wood (considered noble wood), the possibility of bottling and selling water, enhancing its hunting facilities and the numerous grants of the government to protect the agricultural activities of the estate.

Penàguila has a historic centre which will spirit you back in time. Built between the late 13th and early 14th centuries for military purposes the Medieval part of the village is rectangular in shape. It was originally a walled settlement, and you can still see parts of the wall today.

You can visit Jardín de Santos, a magical garden where you can sit and let time idle past. Nestled in beautiful natural scenery, the garden is lined by trees and has a pavilion. This Neoclassical building boasts a lake, woodland inhabited by a number of statues, a viewing point and a hedge maze. Nuestra Señora de la Asunción parish with its Baroque façade is a church was originally built in the 14th century and later renovated and there is the Virgen de los Dolores another place of worship which exhibits the Neoclassical style.
